Great for developmentally delayed children December 20, 2007 mom in VA (Suffolk, VA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a 2 year old son with Down syndrome. This puzzle is fantastic for him. The knobs are easy for him to grasp. The puzzle is very durable. He bangs the pieces together and bangs them on the puzzle board. The knobs are still secure and the pieces are not broken or chipped. This puzzle is a great learning tool for him. It teaches him not only where the piece fits in but we also say the name of the animal and make the corresponding sound. I highly recommend this puzzle for toddlers and developmentally delayed children.
Love this Puzzle! May 26, 2008 Jana 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
We have had this toy for more than a year and still looks very good (just a few scratches). I bought it when my daughter was 8 months old. She learned to name the animals very quickly and loved to play with it even though she couldn't put the pieces back.
If this is too difficult for your child, try the geometric shapes (Melissa and Doug) - they're much easier. I think that this puzzle is the next step after the shapes.
Amazing Durable Wooden Puzzle May 8, 2007 Piggers My 19 month old loves this puzzle. The knobs on the puzzle pieces make it easy for her to handle compared to some of her other wooden puzzles. She can easily figure out where each of the pieces go because of the pictures on the puzzle itself. She is always so proud of herself when she gets the pieces in correctly. The puzzle is very durable and well made.
This is better than it may appear October 8, 2008 Abigail D. Thompson This is an extremely durable puzzle with pieces that fit well, but not too tightly, into their places - providing an excellent challenge for my one-year-old.
Great for beginners December 5, 2008 A. Robinson (USA) My daughter will get these out every single time she sees them and name them and what they say. She is 17 months old, we bought it when she was 14 months old. Excellent for beginners on learning the 'how's' of putting puzzles back in place.
