Melissa and Doug Rule! February 18, 2008 H. Wolowik (Madison, WI) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
We love the Melissa and Doug puzzles, so when my 4 year old daughter received the calendar for X-Mas, we were thrilled. We do "Calendar" every day. We bought this one for another little 4 year old as well. My only suggestion, put the calendar in a place that your child cannot reach it without help. There are ALOT of pieces that you don't want to lose.
Are you tired of your preschooler asking "what day is it today"??? May 26, 2007 et2980 (California) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Good product, typical M&D product which is my favorite choice for my children. The magnets are nice and I'm trying to figure out how to get more of the same (for example weekly music lessons). The squares are also pretty small so if two occasions were on the same day (first day of spring and your child's birthday) you would have to be creative. Magnets for parents and siblings should be included rather than obscure holidays.
My 4 year old loves it and is quickly learning the concepts of a calendar. No complaints here...
Great way to teach days/weeks/months/years August 13, 2007 jennieG (Merrimack, NH United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My son is 4.5 years old and is learning his days/weeks/months/years. This is the one item that is really helpful to get this done. He has a lot of fun picking the squares for the events during the week. Overall a very affordable and effective way.
Makes our almost 4 yr old feel grown up! January 19, 2009 Faeriegirl (Oklahoma) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Our family loves Melissa and Doug products and this one is no exception. Well thought out with magnets for every occasion. Our son feels like such a big guy when he counts out the days until something "special" on his calendar. And it's very easy to customize these (we've printed out small thumbnails of his grandparents) using double sided tape to stick on a couple of the magnets that we just don't need (one blank one is included). I can see us using this for years to come. Great product!
Fun way to learn - calendar, days of week, holidays, etc. January 20, 2008 T. Chang This calendar was the favorite Christmas gift this year. My daughter has changed it for each month of the year, including holidays and special events , a couple times, always leaving on the current month. Every day it is referred to for information about her personal schedule. She has become more responsible for her own time and looks forward to activities with a time frame in mind. Great product.
