This sandbox is very nice looking, easy to assemble and has been a great addition to our outdoor play. Great size, the seats are just right and the play room is fantastic. Comes with a cover that keeps our pets from digging. Super product for the price overall. I suggest placing heavy duty garden tarp under the sand.

Great product, easy to put together, my daughter loves it. The small, plastic "turtle" sandboxes are good for younger children/toddlers, but when your child gets a bit bigger, they need more room to play! This 5x5 size is perfect for older kids who really like to dig and build in the sand. It was so easy to put together- and yes, it smelled terrible right out of the packaging as the box warned me, but that smell quickly went away by the time it was together. I would reccommend this to anyone looking for a good, sturdy sandbox for their growing child who needs more room to play. The seats are strong enough for Mom or Dad to sit and play w/ their child, as well.

My twin 3 year old boys love this sandbox! I have been assembling products for years, and this was by far the easiest (with a hex key bit in my power screwdriver). The hardware was clearly labeled, and each piece fit together perfectly. So far, the cover has worked to keep the neighborhood cats and leaves out. The boys have learned how to take the cover off by themselves. Great sandbox.

While this is a very sturdy item, it really shouldn't be called a 'box' since it lacks both and top and bottom. The thin flimsy mess cover that is included does not fit tightly over it, but is tied through holes drilled in the sides. This will not keep out bugs, small critters, or rain (your clean sterilized sand will no longer be very clean or sterilized). At the very least, this should have come with some sort of tarp or liner to put under it.
Overall it is way too pricey for a few pieces of wood that will have to be sealed in order to make it 'weather proof' (per the included instructions).

I am a frustrated customer. There are 8 corner pieces. I assembled most of the pieces not paying really close attention to part numbers (seemed straightforward). When I got to the last piece, it was wrong. I then ordered a replacement part based on the labeling of the piece that it was paired with. Long story short, I received the exact replacement piece I ordered, but I ordered the wrong one based on original mis-labeling. I am amazed, but when I took careful stock of these 8 corner pieces, it turns out that not one of the pieces was labeled correctly! And more strangely, there was no rhyme or reason to how they were mislabeled! For two of them, the label was missing. Two labeled "3" should have been 1. Two labeled "1" should have been 3. Two labeled "4" actually were double labeled with the label underneath reading "3", but they should have been a 2 and 1 respectively.
I don't know how isolated this problem is, but it certainly earns them a 1 on this review.
